As a subject 'global ecology' covers everything involved in our world. However, we mainly look at how the natural world works in conjunction with how the human made world works. We look at how people approach life and its opportunities and constraints within the context of what we see today and know about our past.
In detail we look at global ecological systems that are needed to allow life to thrive on earth. This covers habitats to species population decline and rise, changes in habitats and climate, human population growth to the growth of economies, the human psyche, politics, mass psychosis, ethics and terraforming.
Our courses range from one hour online tutoring sessions to one week residential courses based in the French Pyrenees.
Online courses can be individually created to the requirements of the student. The initial session usually entails a discussion concerning the needs of the student and what we can supply to support the aims and goals of the student.
Residential courses are also designed around the individuals within the group of up to ten that would be attending. On contacting us the students are grouped so that the subject matter will correspond with the aims and goals of the individual and the group.
All courses, except where specifically arranged, will be conducted in English. For the residential courses this allows for an international group to attend and be able to discuss the contents. Material for the courses is taken from around the world and used to support the course content. This is also the case with online courses.
